Through the Lens

Omeo Life.  The Photography of W.A.Kracke

Originally from Bremen, Germany, Mr W.A.Kracke arrived in Omeo in 1909.
Over a period of almost thirty years, he took many, many photographs of Omeo and the surrounding district.

Sadly, the vast majority of his glass negatives were destroyed, after his death, in the late 1940’s.

The following are among the surviving photographs.
